You don’t have to figure everything out on your own
Heart for Parent Carers offers support, coaching and connection for parents of children and young adults with disabilities.
It is a place where you can feel heard and understood, connect with people who genuinely understand, and find a steadier way forward.

When caring becomes all-consuming
Being a parent carer can be relentless.
You may spend years navigating appointments, education, services, difficult decisions and an uncertain future. You become used to fighting for what your child needs, often while putting your own needs to one side.
Over time, it can leave you feeling exhausted, disconnected rom yourself and constantly on alert.
Heart for Parent Carers has been created to support the person behind the title of ‘parent carer’.
A different kind of parent carer community
This is a safe and supportive space where you can speak honestly about the realities of being a parent carer.
But it is also a place of hope and possibility. Together we’ll explore ways to:
- understand your emotional responses
- feel less overwhelmed and defensive
- build greater emotional resilience
- reconnect with yourself and others
- recognise the joy and meaning that can exist alongside the challenges.
About my family
I’m married to Matthew, who is a crime author! Our adult children, Caitlin and Zac, both have autism. Zac also has Down syndrome. I understand personally how easily life can become focused on advocating, organising and holding everything together.
Professionally, I am a Paseda360™ Advanced Practitioner and accredited Havening Coach. My work helps people understand why they feel stuck and supports them to move forward with greater calm, clarity and confidence.
I created Heart for Parent Carers alongside Caitlin because we believe parent carers deserve support too.
Come and join us
If you are a parent carer who would value support, coaching and genuine connection, we would love to welcome you. It doesn’t matter how old your child is or where you live.
